Winstanley Medical Centre is in a purpose built building at the heart of Winstanley's community.
We are a single handed GP Practice but our team also consists of a Practice Nurse,Health Care Assistant and six administrative staff.
The surgery is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm with the exception of Wednesdays when we close at 1pm. We also offer a late surgery every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm.
We look after approx 3000 patients and offer various clinics.
We tutor Foundation Doctors and also Medical students from the University of Manchester and they may be involved in some of the clinics you attend.
We have regular meetings with other members of the Primary Health Care Team. (E.g. District Nurses, Health Visitors, Antenatal and Palliative Care).
We aim to provide the best possible service to our patients and hope that you will feel that we achieve that aim.
The care of your health is a partnership between you, your GP and the Primary Health Care Team including District Nurses,Midwifes and Health Visitors. The success of that partnership depends on co-operation between us.
Our responsibility to you is to treat you with courtesy and respect.
Your responsibility to us is to treat all surgery staff with the same courtesy.
This practice supports the Government's zero tolerance policy towards violence and abuse. We feel that that GP's and their staff and other patients have the right to go about their business without fear of abuse or attack. Therefore violent patients will be struck off the list and reported to the police.
